Char Siu Pork Fillet

 

Ingredients

2 Standom Pork Fillets

1 Cup Char Siu Sauce

1 tbls vegetable oil

1 tsp sesame oil

2 bunches Asian greens

½ Cup water

1 clove garlic, crushed

2 spring onions, sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

Method

Marinate the pork fillet in the char siu sauce for one hour.

Preheat BBQ grill plate or heavy based fry pan over medium heat.

Brush pork fillet with vegetable oil & cook on BBQ until browned on all sides.

Baste Pork Fillet with the remaining marinade & continue cooking on the BBQ until the outside is caramelised & the pork fillet is cooked through (Approx. 12-15 minutes in total) Turn Pork every few minutes to stop the sauce from sticking & burning.

In a wok, sauté the garlic in the sesame oil, add Asian greens & water, place a lid over the wok and steam the greens for 3-5 minutes. Slice the pork fillet, serve with greens, garnish with spring onion & toasted sesame seeds
